How Brandon Raynor's Massage Courses are Conducted

Brandon Raynor’s massage training has become increasingly popular around the world. Brandon attributes this success to the effectiveness of the Brandon Raynor Massage Therapy, and his highly individualized, hands-on training style which is generally focused on 3 pillars of practical, hands-on massage education:

Giving massages: We feel that it is very crucial that our students start massaging from the very beginning of the course. We believe that to study massage means to learn by doing. In this way one can, in a very short period of time, develop the sense of touch needed to be able to; connect to the massage recipient, detect tension in muscles and connective tissue, appreciate the energetic relationship between massage therapist and client, and begin to witness the impact of different manipulations on the body. Learning by doing is the biggest focus in any Raynor massage class.

Receiving massages: You can’t really become a good massage therapist without experiencing all of the massage techniques on yourself. Receiving a massage treatment will give you great insight into how each massage technique actually ‘feels’. This will help you to develop a sensitivity for the reactions and bodily cues of your future clients. Understanding your clients needs will be the key to your success as a masseuse.

Demonstration by our teachers: A Raynor massage class always includes teacher demonstrations of the various massage techniques and strategies used to release tension and blocked energy in the body. We know for a fact that seeing a technique performed by an experienced massage teacher will be of tremendous benefit to your career as a massage therapist.

All practical work in our massage classes will be done under the supervision of our teachers. They will also use creative teaching strategies including media-like audio and video presentations to enhance the learning experience.

The teacher (Brett Pascoe) maintained a professional demeanour throughout, maintaining discipline and balance, whilst in a relaxing and enjoyable environment. He excelled in his teaching ability and his knowledge was unquestionable and all questions were answered to full satisfaction.
