You can now learn to massage at one of the world's best massage schools and also get Australian government accredited after completing the massage course. We have recently entered into a partnership with Health Schools Australia, which allows all of our Raynor massage graduates to get Recognition of Prior Learning which will enable you to also easily get Government recognized Cert IV in Massage and Diploma of Remedial Massage Course and to give Health Care Rebates. Stephen Eddy, the principal of Health Schools Australia and a committee member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society, has said that Raynor massage training is way above government standard and that is why he is happy to automatically recognize that in graduates of our school's applications for government accredited courses with his college, anyone completing a Certificate in Raynor massage is automatically exempt from all of the practical massage requirements for the Government accredited courses at his college and anyone completing the Diploma in Raynor massage will be exempt from all the practical requirements of his Government recognized Diploma of Remedial Massage at his college.
In this way the partnership between our schools has enabled us to give you a standard of practical training way above government standard. Stephen Eddy actually said the government would have to make us down skill our courses if they were to get government accredited without his school. So by studying with us and if you want government accreditation, in partnership with Health Schools Australia you will get the highest standard of practical massage training available in Australia today, plus you will be able to start practicing after only two weeks, get fully insured, then by correspondence complete the government accredited part of the course with Health Schools Australia while receiving Austudy. All of this at around a total of $6000 - $7000 for the Government accredited Diploma or $2000 - $3000 for our private accreditation. This is much cheaper than most massage school's $10,000 fee.

Watch Brandon demonstrate different massage techniques as he interacts with students.
Learn a combination of practical “hands-on” techniques drawn from many of the world’s great traditions and developed by Brandon Raynor
himself. This massage certification also involves learning strategies involved in performing a good massage treatment.
The combination of these techniques and strategies works towards an overall goal of total release of all tension in the muscles of the body and opening up of the channels or meridians through which the chi (life force) flows.

Brandon Raynor
talks about what is taught in his advanced diploma course.
The Advanced Raynor Massage Diploma course teaches students to increase their diagnostic and treatments skills to make their treatments even more effective and transformative. The main focus of this course is the stimulation of chi flow in the body and the release of pent up emotional material.
This course is only open to previous graduates so the pace of the course will be intense and quicker, focusing on each of the students in the class and individualizing the massage treatment to suit the individual. The Advanced Diploma is only taught by the head of the school and founder of the Raynor massage style, Naturopath Brandon Raynor
.
This shows the success of what started as an Australian local family business! The reason that we have been this successful is not just fantastic massage but also excellent customer satisfaction. Our massage school has survived and prospered because of its happy customers. People who have completed our massage courses have gone on to open successful businesses all over the world and go on to refer other interested people back to our massage school.
We teach you a comprehensive style of massage that can be used to treat stress and tight muscular problems in a full range of clients. This massage, Raynor Massage, draws upon techniques from all over the world. We take many techniques from Swedish, Remedial and Deep Tissue Massage as well as techniques from Oriental massage styles such as Shiatsu, Tui Na, Thai Massage and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage. Brandon Raynor
has built upon these origins and techniques, and creating many techniques himself. This combination has made Raynor massage into one of the most powerful massage techniques available anywhere in the world today.
The style of massage that we teach does not just do a regular massage routine. As well as the conventional areas that most massage therapists deal with such as the back, the legs and the arms, our massage style goes extensively into massaging parts of the body such as the feet, the hands, the face, the front of the legs, the abdomen and the chest. We also show you how the Oriental meridian system connects the various areas of the body. This means that by working an acupressure point on the foot this could then have a reflex action on another area of the body. Following the meridians or bands of tension in the body will help relax another area of the body.
Another unique aspect of Raynor massage, which has made it so popular, is the ability to relieve deep seated emotional conditions that many people hold in their body. This idea that emotional blockages can be stored in the body is a fundamental concept in both Chinese medicine and Ayurvedic medicine, the traditional medicine of India. It is also well recognised in the folklore of western society by the common expressions such as "it gave me knots in my stomach", “my stomach twisted”. There is an increased awareness of how stress can cause headaches, indigestion, insomnia, ulcers and a whole host of other problems. The concept of mind - body medicine is at the forefront of current inquiries in Western medicine. Our technique of massage brings this extremely important and powerful field of medicine to the general public and allows practitioners to help friends, family and the general community.
Naturopathic physician Brandon Raynor
recognised the importance that this technique can play in helping solve a lot of today's common health problems including bad backs, migraines, chronic fatigue, depression, indigestion, knee problems, neck problems, moodiness, drug, alcohol, gambling and tobacco addictions, repressed anger, lymphatic problems, poor sporting performance, and many other problems of a physical and emotional nature.

Brandon had a busy clinic in Sydney and realized that as one practitioner can only treat so many people in a week, he wasn’t going to be able to treat everyone with so many different problems on his own. Knowing this was such a powerful and useful technique that could benefit so many people he decided to start teaching it to some of his clients and other people that were interested in the style of massage that he had created. He started to hold massage courses in Bondi Beach, Sydney and he totally changed the popular concept of teaching massage.
Instead of teaching exactly how he had been taught massage by first learning lots of anatomy and physiology and then learning first a basic Swedish massage routine followed by completing a Shiatsu course at another massage college and then doing further study elsewhere, Brandon decided to teach the style of massage exactly as he was doing it now. Brandon wasn't going to teach anything that he wasn't currently using in his practice believing that if he didn’t remember and use a technique or a term then it obviously wasn’t useful and he wasn’t going to teach his students that! From the first day of his first courses he was teaching advanced deep tissue massage techniques and acupressure points and doing so in a down to earth and simple way. He didn’t use complex terminology to describe the body or even to describe acupressure points. Instead he would just show people how to massage the body and how different areas of the body connect. He would show how one point affected another and people would experience at first hand the effectiveness of the massage and learn to do it themselves. He ran all of his training courses as experiential learning workshops.
During the course many people would experience what are termed a ‘healing crisis’ where people let go of old emotions and experience healing. This first hand watching or experiencing of these healing events inspired confidence in the students to take their clients through these emotionally healing experiences.

We run 5 and 10 day workshops in Raynor Massage all over Australia. The courses run from 9 am to 5pm from Monday to Friday. Our 5 day Massage Certificate Course teaches the basic essence of Raynor massage including all the major parts of the body including the abdominal area. We are massaging from Day 1 of the course and very little time is spent in a non practical way after the 3 hour introductory talk that covers contraindications, hygiene, professional ethics and other aspects of theory associated with Raynor massage. The rest of the course is spent either massaging, being massaged or watching the teacher demonstration and talk through a massage. Many people can't believe how good they feel just from the receiving massage aspect of this course especially if they have volunteered for a demonstration massage from one of our teachers.

The 10 day Raynor Massage Diploma Course teaches you more advanced aspects of the massage including more practice at the techniques, reflexology of the feet and the hands, an introduction to aromatherapy, which is the use of 100% pure essential oils in your massage. The massage course culminates in a student clinic where member of the public are invited to attend and receive a massage from one of the students.
This student clinic is also an opportunity for people who are interested in attending one of our massage courses to attend and receive a free massage so that potential students can judge for themselves whether this sort of massage training is right for them. Our massage school is also offering correspondence courses in Naturopathy. These courses are unlike other Naturopathy courses in that we follow the original philosophy of Naturopathic medicine which is to understand Naturopathy from a spiritual and elemental basis. Many Naturopathic courses today have followed the scientific viewpoint of Naturopathy which doesn't recognize the spirituality behind the original teachings of Naturopathy nor the contribution that Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic medicine from India have brought to the world of natural therapies. Many concepts at the heart of these systems of medicine such as yin/yang, chi, prana, the concept of the soul and life force cannot be explained with modern science.
Brandon Raynor
, with his specialized training in Oriental medicine and Ayurveda, has incorporated these into his Diploma of Naturopathy which is more of a holistic approach to Naturopathy and includes approaches to natural medicine from around the world. You will find that the nutrition section is more concerned with how to obtain your nutrients from your food rather than which vitamin tablets to take and you will explore the energetics of food from an Ayurvedic perspective. You will learn how some food may increase the fire in your body while other foods can decrease it. Many of today's modern medical conditions can be explained in both Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine as imbalances in one of the elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether.
Our Naturopathy Diploma course covers several main topics. The first is the Massage Diploma courses discussed above. The next is to gain a very comprehensive view of wholefood nutrition from an Eastern and a Western perspective. This is followed by a very comprehensive section on holistic approaches to Herbal Medicine from around the world with a prime focus on European, Australia, Indian and Chinese Herbal Medicines and their philosophies of treatment and diagnosis.
Having completed these studies you will undertake a module studying Iridology, Bach and Australian Bush Flower essences, Homoeopathy, Hydrotherapy and various smaller disciplines within the Naturopathic field. In addition to this you will learn a comprehensive overview of Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine, along with traditional Naturopathic medicine. You will also learn basic anatomy and physiology. The emphasis on this course is not on the scientific aspect but on understanding the energetics of natural medicine and how it has been practiced for thousands of years before the dominance of Western scientific thought. Western science, after all, is still unable to explain the simple difference between a living body and a dead body - it can only describe that the symptoms of life have gone rather than define what life itself is! Eastern medicine does not have this limitation.

Our Naturopathy course can be completed at your own pace from the comfort of your own home. Most of the work is done by reading set texts and answering questions about them and completing projects, most of which are done online. The rest of the course is completed in your home or attending a massage course near you. There are additional elective hands on subjects which are locally based and depending on your circumstances.
The design of the course reflects the philosophy of the course, rather than the more scientific orientation, this course is not a Government accredited course. However, there are no restrictions on the Naturopathy profession in Australia to dictate that a person has to do a government accredited course to be a Naturopath. This debate between scientific and traditional Naturopathy has been raging throughout the profession all across the world for the last 60 years and there are two (or more) approaches to the art. We hope that by introducing this course to be available to the Australian public that the more traditional energetic approach to Naturopathy does not become lost.
Thanks again for visiting our website and we hope to see you at one of our massage courses in Australia soon or to have you enrol as one of our Naturopathy students. Please call us on ![]()

I found the course to be very informative and extremely enjoyable. Mr Dean Barnes was brilliant in teaching the Raynor Massage technique and made sure that all students had a comprehension of all aspects involved in being a practioner. I am now confidently doing this technique and healing people. Thankyou for this knowledge, money well spent!

"The philosophy of the whole technique is awesome. Thank You Brandon for taking the time to develop it."
~ Anonymous student
I have just completed my Certificate in Massage of the Raynor Technique in Adelaide. I found it to be extremely informative, encouraging and a lot of fun. John is an excellent teacher and I could not fault him. It didn’t matter if he had to explain it over and over again; he encouraged us until we mastered it. I did a lot of research beforehand about different courses (most of them were part time over a long period) but I wanted to start earning money, so this was fantastic way to do it. The type of massage taught is different to anything I have experienced – you walk away feeling wonderful, but it helps align your body as a whole at the same time. I would recommend this course to anyone without hesitation
~ Erica Morgan,
Adelaide, April 2008
